Welcome to the Holden R-III School District “Year in Review” publication, Holden R-III School District: The Bird's Eye View. We would like to provide information about the Holden School District and the many offerings being provided. We are proud of our schools and are truly honored by the support of our “Holden Eagle” community.
 
The Holden R-III School District was established in 1882. The school district is located in both Johnson and Cass Counties in Missouri. The District covers a total of 208.2 square miles. The Holden School District operates the Eagles Nest Early Childhood Center, a K-5 Elementary School, 6-8 Middle School and a 9-12 High School. The school buildings reside on one campus located on the south side of town in Holden. Holden is located 40 minutes south and east of Lee’s Summit. The District has strong community ties which allow many positive partnerships with the many supportive businesses and faith based organizations throughout the school district.  

The Holden School District serves approximately 1,200 students, grades K-12, offering each student a rigorous curriculum which prepares graduates to be competitive in the future. The Holden School District continues to be a leader in public education. The District works to provide a strong education that is forward thinking while also being centered around the essential skills every child needs to know to be a productive citizen both now and in the future.
