Parents & Community: ParentLink
Parent Link
Access Student Reports Online
The Holden R-III School District announces that the upgrade over the summer to Parent Link, the parent portal used to access information about their students’ grades, attendance, lunch balances and more, is complete.
A new password will be sent to parents via the e-mail address they used to access their Parent Link account last year. Parents should expect to receive this e-mail with their account information by early September. Look for the subject line: ”Parent / Student Portal Account Information.”
Please contact Bev Kephart at 732-4125 or bkephart@holden.k12.mo.us if the email address you used last year to access Parent Link has changed.
Parent Link Registration Forms are available in each school office and online.

| 08/26/2009 | Comment: I welcome having Parent Link, but I fear it may eliminate teacher/parent interaction. Even though my child's grades are posted, unless I check the website often, I do not receive any information personally from teachers. If my child is doing poorly and I cannot access the website, I am left in the dark. The Internet should not take place of a phone call or a letter home when the need arises. Our society relies more and more on technology and less on personal interaction; I would hate to see that lost when it comes to our children. Response: Parent involvement is of utmost importance to a child's success in school. Parent Link is the online system that is available for parents to access their child's grades. All schools send out progress reports at the midpoint of each quarter and at the end of each quarter. Parent-Teacher conferences are held at the end of first quarter. Additional conferences may be held during the school year at the request of the teacher or parent. Besides individual conferences, teachers communicate with parents about their child's progress throughout the year with phone calls, letters, and emails. Parents are encouraged to contact their child's teacher about his/her progress at anytime during the school year. |
