Photos, Music, and Clip Art for Projects
You may have noticed that it is getting more and more difficult to find clip art and music on the internet that you can use in your classroom. I have gathered some links you may want to view. They are listed below in the "related sites" section. These might be good places to find photos and clip art for use in class. Please check the copyright information for these pages, since some are available for unlimited use and some are only for viewing.
You might want to search Encarta or Inspiration for artwork instead of searching on the web in order to avoid inappropriate content. There is also a folder on the server where you can find a multitude of artwork that is available for your unlimited use. It is on the Classroom Materials (M) Drive. Here is the path: M:\All Schools\Stock Images
Students and staff can get to that area on the server from any school computer on the network.

It would be great if we could still have access to Google Images and all the radio and music sites at school, but too many of these are offensive to students or caused too much traffic on the network. We want to continue to have adequate speed for teaching and learning activities, and we want to avoid problems related to the downloading or sharing of material that is the intellectual property of others. You can still get to pictures on AllTheWeb.Com since it comes up with the offensive content filter in place as the default. Another great site for filtered images is PicSearch. In order to comply with federal laws, we need to use care and supervision in allowing access to sites. Please remember that network use is not private
